Someone i know is having hair loss. what remedies should they use.?

when they come their hair alot of hair is falling out. what could they use to stop the hair from falling and make their hair more healthy and Strong. what type of shampoo or treatments.

Someone i know is having hair loss. what remedies should they use.?

kelp tablets or spirulina

aloe vera juice with cranberry juice

green tea with cayenne pepper capsules

do a liver detox

avoid any chemical product ie shampoo, dish detergent, air fresheners, toiletries, after shaves etc

Someone i know is having hair loss. what remedies should they use.?

maybe the cause of hair loss is that she might not have enough nourishment in her body um you might what to use something for dry/damaged hair maybe um or the reason might be radiation.

Someone i know is having hair loss. what remedies should they use.?

If the hair that they are losing has the hair ball (root) attached to the end, then they are losing it from their scalp...it could mean that they have a condition that needs to be diagnosed by a doctor.

If they are losing it as if it has broken off from a longer piece of hair, that means that they have hair breakage because their hair isn't healthy, maybe over processed? Start taking "hair" vitamins, and using humectant shampoos, a deep conditioner once a week and hold off on the heat processing, like blow drying and hot ironing.

That's what happened to me and the above seemed to work. Hope this helps.

hi maybe your diet is not good enough for your hair to grow well so eat better.

Hair Falling out!! Thinning %26amp; Hair Loss?

stop dyding your hair and go to a hair drasser.

Hair Falling out!! Thinning %26amp; Hair Loss?

Good healthy hair starts with good internal health. Have you ever noticed people that look really healthy have nice shiny full heads of hair? If I were you I would go into your local guru in wholistic medicine and see what natural supplement the can offer for robust hair growth. I閳ユ獫e had success with a product called Provillus also.

Hair Falling out!! Thinning %26amp; Hair Loss?

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Steps You can take to avoid hair loss:-

Wash your hair regularly in warm water and use a deep conditioner.

Eat a balanced diet. Nutritional deficiencies, eating disorders and excessive amounts of certain vitamins, such as A and E, can cause hair loss.

Take care of your health. Chronic illness, high fevers and infections can contribute to hair loss.

Stay away from harsh chemicals - permanent hair color and perms are the most damaging - and avoid coloring your hair more than once every six to eight weeks.

Avoid hairstyles like ponytails and cornrows, which stretch and pull hair.

Keep in mind that it's normal to lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day.

Consult your general physician or dermatologist regarding concerns about hair loss.

Has anyone experienced complete hair loss and taken thyroid medication to help?

I am trying to find a way to regrow my hair and was wondering if thyroid medication would help. I don't want to take the shots in the scalp anymore or take steroids because they stop working as soon as the treatment is done.

Has anyone experienced complete hair loss and taken thyroid medication to help?

You will lose hair if your thyroid is underactive and meds for it will stop it, but, the meds would not help you if your thyroid is normal. In fact, if you overact it with thyroid meds you could lose even more hair. Have your thyroid tested (TSH test) and if its normal, meds will not help you.

Has anyone experienced complete hair loss and taken thyroid medication to help?

Thyroid medication will help with the hair loss IF YOUR HAIR LOSS IS DUE TO A THYROID PROBLEM. Is it?

If you do not have an under active thyroid, taking thyroid medicine can give you serious problems... like a heart attack. And it won't do anything for your hair.

Has anyone experienced complete hair loss and taken thyroid medication to help?

consult ur doctor plzz!!! i dont want to give u a wrong advice..

What is a good shampoo for hair, when you are loosing hair?

I notice I am having hair loss, I think is my shampoo, can someone recomend a good shampoo to stop the hair loss or a treatment to stop it?

What is a good shampoo for hair, when you are loosing hair?

They make shampoo for horses that promotes hair growth. No joke, it works.

What is a good shampoo for hair, when you are loosing hair?

Progaine 2-in-1 Shampoo, from the makers of Rogaine.

What is a good shampoo for hair, when you are loosing hair?

Not really a shampoo I can recommend, but why don't you try, Virgin Coconut Oil, extra virgin, doesn't matter, as long as it is not refined nor bleached.

Put in on overnight. Place a towel over your pillow so your pillow case won't be greasy with oil. And in the next morning, wash it off with toxin-free shampoo, and to really remove the smell of the coconuts (it's not really that a bad smell), use conditioner.

Thyroid disorders and hair loss. What is common and does anything help?

I was diagnosed with Graves disease early this year and underwent the radiation treatment for the disease. Now that they are adjusting my medicine I am finding that my hair is falling out a lot. They say that there are certain shampoos out there that help. Does anyone have any advice to prevent the hairloss?

Thyroid disorders and hair loss. What is common and does anything help?

i have that problem. i was tested for Lupas and Thyroid Disease. and i was fine. but then checked for low Iron and found out i have Anemia and that was the problem. i take Iron pills and a Multi-vitamin pill everyday.

eat healthy and take a multi-vitamin.

get good sleep also.

Thyroid disorders and hair loss. What is common and does anything help?

Monitor your iron levels. Thyroid can cause anemia or iron deficiency, which also results in hair loss. Eat plenty of protein, enough for your current body weight since hair and skin is made of protein. A good hair salon or beauty supply can suggest a shampoo-- there are "anti-aging" shampoos that protect and strengthen the follicle.

Thyroid disorders and hair loss. What is common and does anything help?

Having your hair fall out is a symptom of hypothyroidism. Now that your doctors have given you hypothyroidism, you need to get treatment for it.

Is hair loss a symptom of TMJ?

I suffer from TMJ. I did treatment for about a year wearing the splint and improved but after I stopped wearing it, my symptoms are coming back, just not as bad. Anyways, I've been losing hair for a while and I'm thinking it could be a TMJ symptom? Does anyone know if it is?

Is hair loss a symptom of TMJ?

Hair loss is NOT a sympton of TMJ. I have suffered with TMJ for over 10 years. You should continue to wear a splint at night.

More than likely your hair loss has to do with your diet or stress.

Plese give me home remedies for hair loss?

i am 20 yrs old.my hair line receding very slowly but steadily.i dont want any chemical treatment.so please give me home solutins which will be effective at the earliest..thank you...

Plese give me home remedies for hair loss?

i say go for natural remedies (paste of amla, curd, curry leaf grinded together and apply it your scap before a hair wash)! hair fall occurs when a person undergoes too much of stress and fatigue,it is also possible when excessive use of chemicals in their hair! by keeping the scalp clean having regular hot oil massage may help u! to remove stress go for meditation and yoga, it really worked for me! hope these suggestions work for you!!!

Plese give me home remedies for hair loss?

Same prob here, I'm 38 now mine started receeding at about 20 also. I look at it this way, the less I have on my head, that's that much less I have to take care of. I can towel dry my hair, run a comb or brush over it, and go. No more hair dryers, yeah!!! I can stand up in hurricane force winds, and not have a bad hair day, lol.

Don't sweat the small stuff! Hair does not make the person.

Plese give me home remedies for hair loss?

If your hair ine is receding, and the hair is getting finer- you best bet is nioxin. It is not a medication- and it uses natural ingedients- such as peppermint and other stimulants to cleanse and repair your scalp. It has been tested and used on even cancer patients. I wouldn't guarantee that your hairline will fill fack in but your hair will get thicker and healthier. It's the scalp stimulants in Nioxin that help blood flow to the scalp. The scalp therapy really does the job. Also you could book in for a regular scalp massage or u can do one at home yourself with a soft bristle brush on dry hair before washing it you brush your hair but in circular motions rubbing the scalp to increase blood flow. This makes the scalp more healthy, in turn makeing the hair more healthy. Try that first but u get great results with nioxin scalp therapy.

Plese give me home remedies for hair loss?

Stop using shampoo. Always try to see the ingredients, if it is something you don't understand (chemicals) don't use it. You can opt for herbal (Himalaya) of Ayurvedic products. You can google about the toxins in all most all the products we use. You will get a clear picture. Castor oil works wonders..

Plese give me home remedies for hair loss?

Brandy. The wine - Brandy. Just use a little bit of the brandy to rub your hair root lightly. You could try that. Use some brandy on a small area of your hair to test. Stop if you find it itchy / rash / smelly.

Plese give me home remedies for hair loss?

the most effect for hair loss is to take vitamins %26amp; nutritions capsules it's a corse for abut 3 monthes...%26amp; dun't use sechoir frequently cuz it makes hair weak %26amp; easy to be broken...

Hair loss help!?

if youre stressing thats probably half the reason...

do you have dandruff?

dandruff causes you to scratch your head which causes a lot of breakage. if you have dandruff, wash your hair every other day and do not scratch it.

your scalp might be really dry. massage your hair with oil at least 1-2 times a week to get moisture in your hair.

it could also be your shampoo and conditioner.

i use aveda scalp control shampoo and conditioner and it works great. i used to have the same problem as you but now my hair doesn't fall out and its healthy.

also, if you have black hair, theres this thing called henna. its like a homemade conditioner thatll basically moisturize your hair. check online for how to make it. but ONLY USE IT IF YOU HAVE BLACK HAIR AND DONT HAVE ANY GREY HAIR. if you use it on any other hair color itll make your hair red.

Hair loss help!?

Is it right for hair to grow back during chemo?

Hi i m gone through 4 sessions AC and now on 2 nd session of 4 taxol was told i d have total body hair loss while on treatment why is hair growing back now

Any ideas x

Is it right for hair to grow back during chemo?

I had a little hair growing back, but by the next chemo session it would start to fall out again. Don't worry about it. That's just the way it goes.

Is it right for hair to grow back during chemo?

some times it just depends on the person. I was told i would loose all of my hair and I did, but i still had some hair on my legs along with that peach fuzz on some of my face.

Is it right for hair to grow back during chemo?

Some people are different. I was told I'd lose all my hair on the AC but I haven't. I lost a lot but it's already growing back and I still have one AC left. Consider it a good sign.

Is it right for hair to grow back during chemo?

I just finished my last (yay) cycle of AVBD therapy. I was told I'd lose all my hair. I've lost my body hair from shoulder to knee. My leg hair grows in about once a month (not enough for a normal person to notice, but I did) and my head is thinned but not bald (hated the look, so I buzzed it anyway). Everyone is just different, I guess.

Is it right for hair to grow back during chemo?

my hair started growing back during my 2nd session

Hair Loss Problem?

There are severeal forms of baldenss. If it is male pattern baldness (Androgenetic alopecia) then the hairloss cannot be fully cured in most

cases, but just frozen for some time with the treatments availiable on market today.

1) Hair transplant (FUE technology) creates really natural hairline, no scars, the best way to go if you have enough donor hair and money of course.

2. Propecia (Finasteride) and Minoxidil are the only ones approved by FDA and proven to work in most men so far.

http://www.propecia.com

http://www.rogaine.com

But before you consider to start propecia you must really study about the side effects. It can mess your hormones real bad if you are not lucky, so you must choose, hair or these side effects. Quite a big perecent have these side effects, more than Merck - the company that holds

Propecia trademark is saying. see www.propeciahelp.com

Generic Propecia (finasteride) is also ok. I use it with same results, and unfortunately same sides(a bit dry feeling in the scalp) as brand propecia. Have tried lots of herbal c..p before it and laser combs, so far the only thing that prevents my hairloss, not much regrowth, but has stopped my hairloss completely.

I buy from this pharmacy for the last 2 years - http://www.1rx.biz/generic_propecia.html . It is under $1 per pill as I buy the 90 pills. (89$ for 90)

Natural Homemade Tips for Hair %26amp; Skin

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-42eT_e8_b...

Hair Loss Problem?

There are few tips that you may follow to have a good hair line and to reduce the rate of fall of hairs, but before we actually look into that matter, we should be aware of the cause of this problem. Hairs are lost when they weaken from the root. There are more chances of hair loss if you are prone to working in a place with lots of dust. Hence you must be careful while working and should properly cover your hairs so as to prevent them from getting dirty.

The use of the hair products should be checked with a dermatologist so as to ensure that they are compatible with the type of hair you have. The most important thing about the hair is that every individual has unique type of hair and hence the type of products that might suite you would also vary. Hence you should always consult the doctor about the products that you are planning to apply on you hair.

You should always know the positive and the negative sides of any hair products that you use. The dermatologists and the hair experts would be able to provide you with the ill effects of a particular conditioner or the styling gel. The usage of improper chemicals on the hair may also lead to its graying. The use of the coloring agents used in Hair Loss Remediescoloring the hair is also important. There is a huge variety of hair products that is available, and before going for one brand you should be well aware of the pros and cons.

To avoid unnecessary loss of hair you should try to keep the hairs under less stress. Some people are used to tying the hairs tight; this may lead to breaking of the hair strands. You should be extra cautious while handling the wet hairs. The wet hairs are heavier and there are more chances of their breaking if you apply more pressure in drying them with a towel. Brushing the hair forcefully can also lead to breaking of hair. You can try to use the different hair drying methods before you comb or brush your hairs.

Hair Loss Problem?

this is not true. science has come up with many solutions to hair fall. hair regrowth can be achieved through laser therapy and oral medications. visit the following site my friend found it helpfull in hair regrowth.

Hair Loss Problem?

I understand how you feel because I've been in that situation before. I tried using different kinds of shampoos to stop my hair loss but it didn't work for me. But good for me i found the right solution. Proper diet, enough time of sleep and not worrying too much can prevent this problem. For more tips, visit www.profinastpills.com

Hair Loss Problem?

There are several possible causes of hair loss. I may be because of hormonal imbalance, improper diet, undergoing different kinds of hair treatments like coloring and straightening, and stress. Healthy diet, enough time of sleep, regulart exercise and not worrying too much can prevent this problem. I know how you feel because I once had abnormal hair falling, too.

Can anyone tell how to get rid of dandruff and prevents hair loss?

I have dandruff for the past 6 years. I tried so many treatments.. but I could not able to control that.. now I am loosing my hair rapidly.. can any one suggest me the best treatment for this..

P.S... Now I am using head %26amp; shoulders Shammpoo

Can anyone tell how to get rid of dandruff and prevents hair loss?

Real dandruff is not flaky scalp, it's a yellowish crust like cradle cap. That requires a prescription from a dermitologist. You may want to have your thyroid checked if you are having dry scalp and hair loss. They are both symptoms. Head %26amp; Shoulders is one of the worst shampoos. Just use a clarifying shampoo and good oil treatments for conditioning.

Hair loss PLEASE HELP!?

well i got this strange cicle with no hair, part on my hair(scalp),any1 can help me what the thing is???and what is the treatment for this...???it is kinda a circle thing....with no hair growing on it,well recenty ive been eating noodles.....what are the causes of this.....?will the hair EVER grow back T.T

Hair loss PLEASE HELP!?

loss of hair is caused by lack of vitamins. Taking copious amounts of class A drugs wont help this matter.

So lay off the smack. Yes we can tell you are a bag head!

Hair loss PLEASE HELP!?

I'm 21 and my hair recedes quite far i just have a long fringe you could always go with a comb over lol

Hair loss PLEASE HELP!?

It's a normal part of the aging process, and has NOTHING to do with noodles. If you're uncomfortable with the way it appears, try the "cheap" route and shave your head bald. Some woman really dig bald men. If that don't work, you either fork out the money for Hans Weimen (or whatever; hair replacement; you get the idea) ... or you DEAL with it!

GL and God Bless!

Hair loss PLEASE HELP!?

It sounds like you may be describing a bald spot.

I don't know your age, but if you are over 18, it probably won't grow back, unless there is some underlying cause, say a scalp irritation or dermatitis.

Hair loss PLEASE HELP!?

I know only one effective treatment for hair loss. Generic propecia is an innovation among medicines for male hair loss. It's the first drug that actually effectively treats male pattern hair loss on the vertex (at top of head) and anterior mid-scalp area.

I have anxiety and i have reently been experiancing hair loss, is it because of my anxiety?

Yes! Stress and anxiety will cause hair loss. I've just experienced it myself. I am learning to relax and I got some vitamins for hair, nails and skin at walmart. It makes the new hair stronger. it is working for me. It's not coming out in clumps anymore. I've just been divorced and in the same month my son was hit by a 4-wheeler and broke his femur and arm. 2 surgeries so far and ex is asshole. Things are better now. My son is going to be okay and truely I just gave everything to God and he is pouring his blessings upon me =)

Yes, it's anxiety. Get in touch with your psychiatrist and find some meds that will help control it while you work through your problems.

Balding/hair loss?

My brother is not even 20 years old yet and he is balding. What is the best treatment or way to prevent balding and regrow his hair back? Also inexpensive and quick?

Balding/hair loss?

There is no treatment. One time my brother, who lost his hair at a young age, had one of those wig things glued to his head for alot of money and he walked around all the time scratching his head! Tell your brother that the only one that's freaking about it is him, most women could care less about a mans hair and that is a fact!

Balding/hair loss?

This is usually caused by testosterone in combination with a number of other chemicals killing off the folicles.

Probably the fast way to stop the hair loss would be to put him on feminizing hormones (Estrogens, etc). However, most men would probably not take kindly to the impotence and feminizing body characteristics.

There are prescription methods of slowing it down and sometimes even causing regrowth, but it is still not a perfect science.

Balding/hair loss?

deep fry your brothers head!

Balding/hair loss?

there really isn't a way to stop it but if his hair is thinning and only falling out a little you can slow the process down by using rogaine and different types of regrow hair shampoo, i have a friend who had the same problem and he started using the shampoos a lot and it really made a difference

Balding/hair loss?

Im 35 and losing my hair and i wanna know what treatments are out there for balding. Im thinking about a hair transplant cause i got the money for it. Does a hair transplant come out good?

Hair loss options?

There are severeal forms of baldenss. If it is male pattern baldness (Androgenetic alopecia) then the hairloss cannot be fully cured in mostcases, but just frozen for some time with the treatments availiable on market today.

It can mess your hormones real bad if you are not

lucky, so you must choose, hair or these side effects.

There are a number of techniques used in hair replacement surgery. Sometimes, two or more techniques are used to achieve the best results. Hair replacement surgery can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but the results won't necessarily match your ideal. Check out http://www.profinastpills.com for more hair loss tips.

Hair loss during radiation?

When a cancer patient undergoes radiation treatments, do they lose their hair? My mom is getting radiation on her hip for bone cancer and we were trying to think if she will lose her hair again or not. The first/last time she had radiation it was on her breast, right after her chemo so she was already bald. Does anyone know if radiation on a lower part of the body causes baldness?

Hair loss during radiation?

I had breast cancer and had 33 treatments of radiation and i did not lose my hair with the radiation. It was just starting to grow back and it did not affect it at all. I think the only time radiation affects the hair is when it is done to the head, not 100% sure but from what i have read that is the way i understand it.

Hair loss during radiation?

Yes it does most of the time.

But I have seem some women

who look really great without hair.

Hair loss during radiation?

I think hair loss happens only from radiation to the brain. I'm not positive. I know my husband had radiation to the brain and lost his hair. It grew back and he had radiaition to the lung and the hair did not fall out.

Hair loss during radiation?

I don't know about radiation. I know that certain chemo drugs do that, but radiation is localized and should really have nothing to do with hair loss.

The chemo drug that makes hair fall out kills fast growing cells, which hair is one of...so as soon as you stop the drug your hair will start growing back.

I doubt radiation will affect hairloss but don't quote me on that.

Hair loss during radiation?

Depends a lot on the amount of radiation treatment she will receive, but chemo therapy is more noted for hair loss than radiation. She will be sore and easiest way to say it, is like having a severe sun burn....my experience is from my wife going threw cancer treatment. On another note; keep you mother in a positive state of mind as much as possible, try not to let her get depressed. Mental attitude is more than 75% of the battle!!! Keep her laughing no matter what you have to do, again my experience with my wife with her 2 cancer battles, and yes she is still here with me. Good luck and stay positive.

Hair loss during radiation?

Usually radiation will not cause baldness. There might be some hair loss because of nutritional issues that arise from having radiation treatment (and also stress) but as long as she keeps a healthy balance of vitamins/minerals/foods going into her body I wouldn't anticipate that problem.

Hair loss during radiation?

If her radiation exposure is limited to her hip, then the hair on her head will be fine. Some people who recieve mantle field radiation (done to the upper chest and neck) might lose some hair because of "spillover" exposure, but such hair loss is usually temporary and regrows after treatments stop. Hair loss in the direct field, however, is usually permanent. As far away as the hip, however? No. She'll be okay.

Hair loss during radiation?

i had 7 weeks of radiation treatments for throat cancer, it does not cause hair loss, chemo does!!SORRY

Herbal essence used to have a great hair lotion, but unless they changed the packaging of it very drastically, I think they stopped making it. It used to be in a bright green tube by all the other Herbal essences products. If you can find it anywhere try it it was awesome on my hair.

This may sound a little strange but i came across it by accident. Try a conditioner for weomen of color. There are alot more oils, and nutrients in it because their hair type is different and dries out more i guess. Just a thought,

I used Pantene Pro-V for weomen of color.

"Mane and Tail" is very popular here in the Philippines. it is actually created for horses but it could be used by people. it is very effective. check it out if it is available in your country. it sells like hotcakes in the malls!

What brand hair lotion is good for dry, damaged %26amp; brittle hair?

I use Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer because my hair is thick and always dry. Luster's is a light lotion, I like it and it smells good. I don't know if it will work wonders for you but it is inexpensive. And I don't know what hair bonding is.

For loss of hairs what is the treatment we have to take ? i am loosing my hairs due to heridity and drandruff?

HAIR LOSS

It is quite natural to lose about fifty to hundred a day. More than this amount of hair loss could result from any one of a number of factors and may be cause for concern.

Cause:-

* Daily repetition of certain hairstyles, like hair tightly pulled back, braided or wrapped around rollers can pull out individual hairs. Such pulling can damage and destroy follicles completely and the hair will not grow back.

* Emotional stress may bring on alppecia areata, a disorder that results in bald patches on the scalp and may be associated with changes in the immune system. Emotional stress can also cause hair to fall from parts of the scalp.

* Body stress is also known to cause excessive hair loss. Hair loss can result from pregnancy or begin when a woman stop taking birth control pills.

cure:

It is better to see a trichologist if handfuls of hair fall out after shampooing. For mild hair loss, use products that tone and invigorate the scalp and stimulate the growth. Scalping massage is good, which aside from being relaxing and reducing stress levels, loosens and stimulates the scalp and promotes healthy hair growth.

Most hair loss is temporary, but when the follicles are destroyed by serious scalp burns, excessive exposure to x-rays, or vital infection, hair loss can be permanent.

They also have treatments for dry scalp. Hope this helps.

TO HAVE THICK FAST HAIR, STRONG FROM THE ROOTS, DON'T ACCEPT HAIR LOSS.

Rather, use "Segals" Brand 'Advanced Shampoo for Thinning Hair' and 'Advanced Conditioner for Thinning Hair'. For strong and healthy re-growth of hair from roots with a better texture and to arrest premature Hair Fall use "Segals" brand 'Advanced Scalp Formula' and 'Advanced Hair Root Supplement'.

Revolutionary professional products based on rare (NATURAL) botanical extracts - Saw Palmetto, Biotin, Inositol, Rosemary, Fo-Ti, Kelp, Nettle and Silica. 100% safe. Clinically proven and backed by research. Assured results. 100% money-back guarantee in US and Canada. Imported in India from Canada. No other product works better-everything else is commercial. Don't use any shampoos containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocoamide, Propylene Glycol.

The faster way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made; that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

Hey mate....

Our hormones govern the development of hair that appears after puberty. The male hormone, testosterone, governs beard, body hair and hair in the armpits. The female hormone, estrogen, generally prevents hair growth on the chin and encourages it to grow on the head. Occasionally women develop signs of hair loss or baldness when estrogen levels drop. Treatment with estrogen has been successful in restoring hair growth and stopping of hair loss.

Why does my hair keep falling out? Does anathesia from a surgery has anything to do with that?

my hair is falling out, I took a hair cut %26amp; took a hair treatment but I still am experiencing hair loss.

Why does my hair keep falling out? Does anathesia from a surgery has anything to do with that?

hair falls out for many different reasons...

-stress

-medical treatments

-chemicals/products used

-not taking care of it

my hair was falling out badly too and my hair specialist told me all that i need to do.

1-steam your hair. buy a deep conditioner and steam your hair every time you wash it. Motions is a good brand but I'm not too sure you'll find it. Try TRESSumme instead. they're great. just wet your hair put in the conditioner and cover with a shower cap. sit under a dryer or use your hand dryer for 10mins and then shampoo and condition as you would. make sure and condition

2-don't wash your hair everday. this damages hair bcuz it's stripping the nautral oils.

3-change shampoos. this could be making it worse. TRESumme is really good and so is dove. very moisture rich.

4- [VERY IMPORTANT]Vitamins. take the vitamin Pantogar. this was recommended to me. The dosage is one capsule 3times daily. it works wonders.

5-Clip your ends every 3months. tradition is to cut it 3days b4 a full moon bcuz it's believed to grow fuller bcuz the hair is allowed to grow into/with the full moon faze.

6-try not to pull your hair back into a ponytail too often. instead use clamps from Goodie or somethin

Why does my hair keep falling out? Does anathesia from a surgery has anything to do with that?

not sure. the stress from the surgery probably has more to do with it.

Why does my hair keep falling out? Does anathesia from a surgery has anything to do with that?

Hair can fall out for a range of reasons, but i'd say it's just the build up of stress prior, and after your surgery. The drugs they give you for surgery probably had a bearing on it, but it's usually stress, a fever, or some bacterial infection that causes hair loss.

Why does my hair keep falling out? Does anathesia from a surgery has anything to do with that?

yes anethesia does affect your body and hair anything that we intake comes out and does affect us and our outside skin hair etc. all you can do is let it takes its course and soon it will be back to normal unless you have to do it again try taking vitamins etc.

Why does my hair keep falling out? Does anathesia from a surgery has anything to do with that?

This is currently happening to me, after a hysterectomy I think the most of it is over, now it is comming back and I dont notice the hair in the drain as bad, I know that the chemicals in the anesthisa can cause this, this will happen to some women after a epidural also, the hair treatments will probably just stress the hair, if you drink a cup of apple cider vineager daily, it will wash out the toxins left over and you will start to notice less hair loss and new regrowth

okay Dove and Tresseme(sp?) are complete crap. speaking of stripping out the hairs natural oils then coating them with junk.

your hair loss is most likely stress related, and it is not as uncommon as you think. If you feel like its completely abnormal i would see a doctor, and definately see one if it is coming out in patches.

Why does my hair keep falling out? Does anathesia from a surgery has anything to do with that?

I had 2 major operations and both times i lost ALOT of hair as a result. i think it fell out because of losing ALOT of weight real fast in the hospital (im talking 10 pounds in about a week - or week and a half) or because of a reaction to the anesthesia. these were the only times i saw my hair fall out so much, its devistating. My advice is to eat healthy and nurture the hair that is there.

I have fine hair and lately I have been losing A LOT OF HAIR, what would you recommend for my scalp

I have fine hair and lately I have been losing a lot of hair that is freaking me out!! I know I have been in a lot of stress lately and that is a cause, but it's too much for hair loss in one day. I used a hair treatment called Fermodyl that comes in bottles (blisters) and you put them every three days and should control your hair loss. It doesn't not work for me. I have also used the brand Placenta but it doesn't have for hair loss/strengthen hair.

Can anyone recommend me a brand that I can buy at the drugtores that has helped you control hair loss??

Thank you...

I have fine hair and lately I have been losing A LOT OF HAIR, what would you recommend for my scalp to prevent

The best advice I can give you is to take a good multivitamin(most women like to take prenatal vitamins for hair and nail growth), and massage the scalp, either with your hands or a long session of brushing with a soft bristled brush (i prefer boar bristle). Hair and hair growth is controlled through your blood and lymphatic system. Most non-prescription hair loss remedies stress scalp massage. It's not the product that works, it's the scalp stimulation.

If that doesn't work for you, talk to your regular stylist. She may be able to suggest a method to "cure" your hair loss.

It's also important to note that once a year people "molt" for about 3 months. you loose more than the average 100 hair a day.

I have fine hair and lately I have been losing A LOT OF HAIR, what would you recommend for my scalp to prevent

Try Kadus treatment for hair loss (shampoo and ampules for local treatment)

I have fine hair and lately I have been losing A LOT OF HAIR, what would you recommend for my scalp to prevent

I use a green shampoo called Thicker Fuller Hair. I hear that Progaine shampoo is good too. However, you might want to see a doctor (maybe a dermatologist).

I have fine hair and lately I have been losing A LOT OF HAIR, what would you recommend for my scalp to prevent

Don't buy hair products at drug stores, salons are best. I work at one. Try Nioxin-sold at salons only-you have to use it for months, but it works. You should also get your thyroid checked. It is normal for everyone to lose a little hair each day, but if you are losing a lot, it may be a thyroid problem causing it-its just a simple blood test. You are right, stress is a factor, too.

I have fine hair and lately I have been losing A LOT OF HAIR, what would you recommend for my scalp to prevent

Well go to an Avon website/magazine and they have a hair loss product , im not sure wut its called , but my mom uses it and it works great.also wut ever is stressin you out try to control it dont let it take over u.

What can I do about hair loss without spending hundreds of dollars in treatments?

Nioxin Bionutrient Cleanser and Nioxin Scalp Therapy.

They are a specialized shampoo and conditioner that repair and promote healthy hair. There also has been scientific studies showing it makes hair grow back because it creates a healthy scalp- therefore the follicle is heathier and the hair itself is thicker and healthy. This has been used and tested of cancer patients.

Need help with hair loss question!?

I got my hair cut for the first time today since April 2006. The period since then has been one of increased hair loss. I had been unable to brush my hair without seeing a good deal fall out, and a noticeable thinning spot was growing larger on top. I am 20 years old, and male, but nobody with genetic ties to me in my family lost their hair this early. When I got it cut, my hairdresser was shocked to discover that I had not had it trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks. She said that the split ends had gone all the way down to the root, and this was the main reason for the severe thinning, and the pain in all of my follicles when I touch the hair.

My question is, does this actually happen, or was she wrong? Can hair loss be caused by mistreatment like that?

I am going to wait for a while and see if the Nioxin shampoos and treatments she gave me work to restore the lost hair. But I want to know if it's worth the effort, or if I'm actually balding genetically.

Thanks for your answers!

Need help with hair loss question!?

It is true that hair stops growing when there are split ends .With your treatment you can also try this remedy. About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out

FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

Tension

Too much work

Illness

Poor diet

Over-exposure to the sun

Perming

Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR - by Editor

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments

Will I for sure lose my hair or does it usually take more treatments. If so, I want to look into donating my hair to make a wig for someone else. Any suggestions on doing this? I have a friend who from the beginning of my diagnosis 2 months ago has been almost obsessed with my losing my hair %26amp; usually the only time she contacts me is to tell me that she has this or that suggestion for a wig, etc. It's become almost annoying %26amp; I finally told her that I wanted to wait %26amp; deal with that when/if it truly happened. It seemed this was the only thing she was concerned with. Why would that be?

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

I was stage II with a very invasive form of BC. I was put on Adriamiacin, Cytoxin, and 5FU. I managed to do 6 out of the 8 recommended treatments, 3 mos. of Taxotere, and almost 6 mos. of Herceptin. Plus the radiation, of course.

I was told I would lose all of my hair within 2 weeks of starting on Adriamiacin (the nurses called it nair in a bag). Everyone was amazed that it took nearly a month to completely fall out (I had really thick hair - and I do again). By that time it was just an annoyance so I shaved it. As traumatic as it feels I got over it - and I have always been extremely vain when it comes to my hair. Making the decision my own and shaving it earlier on would have been better, thinking back. I was more comfortable in head wraps and headbands/hats than with wigs (too warm). I did find some great deals on wig/headband combos on ebay, lol.

Your girlfriend may be experiencing anxiety on your behalf. Just try talking to her about it. Gently let her know that you have enough to worry about, you appreciate her concern, and you will figure out what you best course is. Perhaps let her be involved in giving an opinion should you decide to opt for a wig.

I did try to look at it as getting to start over fresh with my hair - I could retrain it and not have any of the chemical 'mistakes' I had submitted my hair to years ago, lol. All of those lovely perms. I did lose most of my eyebrows and eyelashes from the Adriamiacin, also. Some women lose body hair, too. It started growing back immediately after chemo stopped. I had peach fuzz within a month. Within 2 mos I had about 1/2 inch of regrowth and was told how chic I looked by many (I was only 31 when diagnosed). My eyebrows grew back fine but I had trouble with my eyelashes - they grew back mutated and spiral-curled. My ophthalmologist told me to keep plucking them until they grew back normal again. It took 3 times of doing this but they are fine now.

If you are put on Taxol or Taxotere as 'adjuvent' chemo (those docs just love offering extra treatments) the hair regrowth may be slowed down a bit.

It will not be a fun journey but I can honestly say I am a better person for having gone through what I did.

As a sidenote, if you are married, try to allow your spouse to be actively involved in your treatments and recovery. The spouse often experiences feelings of loss, powerlessness, and depression as he sees you going through your treatments. He may put on a brave front but make sure he knows he is appreciated.

Best of luck, girlfriend.

Blessed Be.

I don't know if u will lose ur hair in that time. U might ask the nurses who will be giving u the chemo. If u want to donate ur hair, u can go to any salon and tell them, and they will wash it and cut it for u and send it to Locks of Love or someplace like it. Some places cut ur hair for free if u r donating it. Ur friend is probably obsessing because she is having a hard time dealing with ur diagnosis. It is common for people close to u to be scared too. Maybe she doesn't really understand what is goingto happen.

Some people are more superficial then others, i think its great that you want to donate your hair, and i am pretty sure that you will lose your hair but it will take a few treatments.

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

You have not told what type of cancer you have and its stage and grade. you may be going for 4 cycles of chemotherapy but what is the duration is it for one day or for 4 days. In more than 85% cases hair loss is inevitable. It will not fall as it is in one stroke to donate it. It will go on fall one by one as and when the cells holding the hair gets the medicinal effect. forget about donating. It is better you order for a wig similar to the present type and length of your hair so that when you loos hair after chemo it will not be visible. Take lot of fluids as it will help to flush your system from the medicinal effects. Do not take food from outside as you will be prune for infections. Take good lot of Protien supplements. Your sentiments will become low and you will get irritated for the grueling side effects. It would have been to give better and more suggestion had you told the nature of disease with stage and grade. Please put up with it and take all the treatments boldly. It is very necessary as CANCER IS STILL AN ENIGMA.

Best of luck for early recovery from the disease.

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

i lost some of my hair but not through chemo. Not everyone will have hair loss through chemo it depends on the cocktail of drugs they are using. I did read somewhere about head caps that cool your head down while having the treatment helps prevent this but i cant remember where i read it. You do right to deal with it in your own time, if/when it happens. For a woman it is hard to have hair loss, people can be so very cruel!!!

many people regain hair growth at 3 months post chemo - hope you will be the lucky ones

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

My son had nine high dose chemo treatments, surgical hyperthermic chemoperfusion, and nine more cycles of chemotherapy over an 18 month period. He did not lose his hair immediately, probably because he has coarse and thick hair. He lost the thicker hair first about the third month. But had really fine light hair for a few more months. He did eventually lose it all. That was the first round of chemo. During the second round of chemo he was on Irinotecan and Temodar and his hair grew back. So, it really depends upon the dosage and length of time you are in treatment and the type of hair you have. It never bothered my son to lose his hair and he would have gone around bald but he didn't want to get sunburned during summer, or cold during winter. I know that it is a big deal to some people, but it really shouldn't be. I thought my son was beautiful without hair. Of course, I still think he is. :-)

And, don't worry about your friend. She is probably concerned about you and does not know how to handle her feelings. I cannot tell you how many people I have had to comfort because they were so upset by my sons condition.

Stay strong. Be at peace and good luck.

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

She probably feels helpless to help you deal with this illness. Perhaps the hair issue advice is the only way she knows how to help. We must forgive our friends when the try to help in the wrong way. THey just don't know what to do, but at least she isn't avoiding you like some people might. Perhaps you could suggest to her another way to help you (clean your house, bring a meal over?)

My friend used an "ice cap". Her hair only thinned a little.

IT is a cap that looks like a jockey's cap. IT is kept in the freezer at the cancer center where you get your chemo. It must fit tightly on your head. THe nurse will put in on your head about 10 min. before your chemo begins then change it every 40 min as it begins to thaw. My friend didn't think it was uncomfortable. Some women just can't bear the coldness of it.

Not all cancer centers have these. Not sure why this is. IF you can, why not give it a try. You can always take it off.

THis is why it works. Chilled areas of our body have less blood circulating through. If you chill your head while the chemo is in your bloodstream, less chemo gets to your scalp.

ALso, if they aren't giving you medicine to prevent the sores in your mouth, suck/chew on ice during chemo. It has been known to help.

If you want to donate your hair, they usually want at least 10 inches to make a wig. I was told that they don't want gray hair. Go figure. Ask a hairdresser how to donate.

If you are a CHristian, read Psalms 139. I have found it to be very comforting during times of serious illness.

Courage to you!

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

My diagnosis was exactly the same as yours and I am now cancer free. My oncologist did not recommend chemotherapy. I did have mammosite radiation which you might want to investigate. Consider getting a second opinion and discuss your plan of therapy.

The vast majority of chemotherapy patients do lose their hair after the second treatment. I have no idea why your friend is so concerned with your possible hair loss. Why don't you tell her that you prefer not to discuss the matter. Good luck!

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

It depends on the chemo that you are taking. Adriomycin and Cytoxin (spelling?) also known as A/C can cause hair loss in some people. People generally only get 4 doses of that drug. I guess if you are very sensitive about your hair that you should just watch and see what happens. Some peoples hair only thins out...others lose it completely. If you are going to be on Taxol or Taxotere then you will probably lose your eyebrows and eye lashes but not your hair. I was on AC for 4 treatments and Taxol for two weeks then switched to Taxotere which is basically the same as Taxol for the other two weeks. My hair started growing back while on the Taxol/Taxotere but I lost my eyebrows and eyelashes. As for the A/C I took control of the situation and had a Buzz Party where I let all of my family and friends take turns shaving my hair....and I LOVED the way I looked in hats not to mention the freedom of not having to fix my hair everyday.Your friend may be obsessed with her own hair and think that you should feel the same way. Don't give yourself that extra stress. People will really admire your strength if you handle this small stuff with ease. Let me tell you from experience, the more positive you are then the better you will feel throughout this. I was diagnosed August of last year at 26. Stage 2B, Invasive ductal. The good times are still yet to come. You'll be fine!!

Hair loss during chemo? For those who have had this experience, I will be going through 4 treatments in 12wks?

When my 6 yr old daughter was diagnosed with leukaemia the first thing I thought of was she is going to lose her hair and will be so upset (she loved her hair and wanted to grow it long) But she really wasn't overly fussed about it. Within a week of her first round of chemo which was 2 weeks her hair was nearly all gone and like everything about having cancer she just went along happily with it all. We took so many photos of her during treatment and she looked so beautiful without her hair. It is growing back and is very curly (which it wasn't before). I used to think that my hair was my greatest asset and would be devastated without it. I would gladly cut it all off now, I would like to be apart of the leukaemia shave for a cure fundraiser next year.

Whats Important now is remission and im sure you will look beautiful no matter what.

Hair Loss from Soy Protein / Hyperthyroidism?

I've been working out for the past 10 months, but have only been working out steady (3-4 times per week) for the past 5 months. Coincidently, my hair has been thinning out for the past 5 months as well. I'm, overall, very healthy and I take no medications. The only thing I have been taking has been Soy protein shakes after my workouts (in the past few months or so). I've heard that Soy can trigger thryoidism (where hair loss is a side effect).

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I'm obviously going to try something other than Soy, such as Whey...but has anyone ever dealt with a thyroid problem? Any treatment?

Hair Loss from Soy Protein / Hyperthyroidism?

Soy can trigger the thyroid function if the thyroid was already malfunctioning to a degree. Go get your T4 and T3 levels checked. If they're fine, it may be hereditary. May be stress. May be fungal. May be dermatological condition. Rule out the thyroid first, though.

Hair Loss from Soy Protein / Hyperthyroidism?

my hair also thined out and they said it was my cap,i dont know if they were right i'm bald now.

Dandruff and hair loss?

guys, i have severe dandruff.... i donno whether it is exactly dandruff.... it looks like some thing like dandruff.. i did visit many doctors and the treatment provided by them were really helpless.. It sounds like when i take an iron supplement syrup the hair loss gets reduced as the dandruff too... guys i can put a snap of my head here.. otherwise i wud have.. now imagine how wud it look like.. i didn mention this... hair loss is plenty too... tried homeopathy too.. tell me how can i overcome dandruff and hairlosss? i might get bald if this goes on the same for another year or so

Dandruff and hair loss?

I have psoriasis/dermatitis so I know just what you're going through. What really worked for me was rinsing my hair with Apple Cider Vinegar before washing with T-Gel or another shampoo that has the coal tar in it.

Dang I didnt get a good look at your avatar but if you are an African American try putting Sulfur 8 ( ask for it at any beauty supply store). I wouldnt recommend it for Caucasian hair unless you do it at night and wash in the morning because it can make your hair greasy.

Dandruff and hair loss?

Hello; I know of a condition; I got great control of my scalp by washing my hair with cool/cold water. I went from looking like a blizzard was on the top of my head to smooth again. If any more tries to show or itch Hydro-cortisone Lotion, water based, rubbed on stops that or use it regular to prevent it.

But put a hair drier to it and the blizzard is back in min.s. :)

You should check with a dermatologist first.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?

Okay, I KNOW that its important for optimum hair health for it to be healthy from inside/root by good nutrition and maybe vitamins AND the length by propper trims, conditioning, an maybe hot oils at all times. What I really want to know is simple: if someone suddenly experienced major hair loss because of stress or a pregnancy (both which are known to cause hair loss) or whatever other reason, would suddenly cutting their length off or deep conditioning it/maintaning it form the outside make any difference since the cause was something so sudden that generally I would imagine it might not matter? My opinion is that if the hair was going to fall off because of major events as I mentioned, it won't matter if your hair on the outside (which is already dead) is long or short, has split ends or is soft as butter. Does this make sense? I'm only referring to outside treatment not nutrition or vitamin etc.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?

There is nothing you can do when it comes to sudden hair loss, you have to let it take it's course of shedding. A doctor could say that it is normal for hair loss to happen during pregnancy this type of hair loss is called Postpartum Alopecia and is experienced at the conclusion of pregnancy.

This sudden hair loss can happen in excess and last three to nine months after delivery. Normal growth cycles usually return w/in a year.

Alopecia Areata is the sudden falling out of hair in round patches or baldness in spots; can appear elsewhere on the body. This type is highly unpredictable and is usually an autoimmune disease that cause the affected hair follicles to be mistakenly attacked by the person's own immune system, with white blood cells stopping hair growth. (caused by Stress or other health problem)

When someone has delivered their child I suggest to always continue taking prenatal vitamins and iron so that the blood can keep receiving more nutrients. The hair always receive nutrients from the inner body. A balanced diet and exercise can stimulate hair growth.

Types of food to stay away from during this time of hair loss:

ALL JUNK FOOD: Pizza, chips, candy, etc.

Soda: Diet Pepsi, anything diet

Sugars or Fake Sugars: Splenda, Phenylalanines (splenda is a phenylalanine, do your research this sugar is in just about every sweet food; when you are in a grocery line check the back of a package of Trident and you will see it) are in alot of sweet candies, sodas, and gums, also be careful of splenda in yogurts or sweet waters

Fried Foods: chicken, fries, etc. (deep fried foods that is..)

Grains %26amp; Wheat: oatmeal, did you know that oatmeal can turn to fungus? (research it)

Foods to nourish your body during this time of sudden loss of hair:

Water, Water, Water: Add a lemon, lime or orange

ALL RAW VEGGIES

ALL RAW FRUITS

Raw veggie and fruit smoothies

Flaxseed oil: you can find recipes on the web; mix with salad or mix with orange juice and pour on salad to taste

Fish Oils

Coconut Oils

Olive Oils

Dried Fruits %26amp; Veggies

Fish: Salmon, Tuna, Halibut

I could go on and on about this stuff...but I do reccomend these things b/c the more you feed your body REAL FRESH foods, it wil love you for it.

NOTE: For someone whose body is not used to RAW Foods, they may feel ill because the body is not used to this type.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?

Hair loss can be a symptom of hormone imbalance and other health issues. So you should check with a doctor to find out the cause. Hair cuts can add some volume, products can help style, but it won't effect hair growth. There are products like rogain that are for hair replacement, but conditioners and such don't help.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?
